PENGARUH KOMPETENSI TERHADAP KINERJA GURU DI SMP NEGERI GUGUS 2 KABUPATEN BANDUNG

Abstract


This research was conducted to find out about the competence,
performance and competence influence the performance of teachers in Junior
High School Teacher in Cluster 2 Bandung District. The method used is
research method deskriptif with the independent variable (X) Competence
and the dependent variable (Y) Performance. Furthermore, variable (X) is
composed of 14 dimensions and 14 of these dimensions be variable due to
(exogenous) with variable result (endogenous) is a teacher performance.
The number of respondents is 386 samples using random sampling
techniques. Tests carried out using the form ordinal Likert scale to
determine the response of teachers in Junior High School Teacher in
Cluster 2 Bandung District on competence and their performance. Then the
scale is transformed into an interval scale using Method Successive
Interval. To determine whether there is influence between the competence
of the performance, an analysis using path analysis (path analysis).
The results showed that the competence of teachers in Junior High
School Teacher in Cluster 2 Bandung District is at a high value. This
means that the Competence of teachers in junior Gugu2 2 Bandung Regency
has been good. Performance score obtained was categorized as high, meaning
that the performance of teachers in the junior group 2 Bandung Regency has
been good.
Based on the results of data processing using path analysis (path
analysis) Competence which consists of 14 dimensions and performance have
a strong relationship. Competence simultaneous effect on the Performance
Cluster teacher at SMP Negeri 2 Bandung District amounted to 0.9445 or if
in percentage amounted to 94.45%. While the variables that affect the
performance of teachers but not examined in this study was 5.55%.
Advice given writer is to increase the competence of teachers in
particular to the dimension Initiative by providing facilities for them in
the form of books book, or the provision of internet modules for teachers
to be responsive to the times and technology so that the teacher can
provide learning services according to the needs and potential of
learners. To improve performance, especially on the dimensions of
timeliness suggested teachers make a good program and really can be
implemented. Programming can be done collectively in activities MGMP
(deliberation of subject teachers) both at the school and cluster level.
Research results that show the level of influence on the performance of
Competence authors suggest that the increase of teacher competence should
receive the attention of the government, teacher certification program
must touch all teachers. Teaching certificate can be obtained through
professional education of teachers (PPG) or education and training of the
teaching profession (PLPG).
